Restaurants and Tavernas in Pentati
Pentati has two restaurants/tavernas - Angela's Traditional Taverna and Chris' Place Snack Bar Cafe. Both serve freshly-made, traditional dishes with different daily specials, ranging from the local catch of the day to the more traditional dishes - such as moussaka, briam and pastitiado. Both are open all year round and offer stunning sea and mountain views over to Agios Gordios and beyond, towards Pelekas.

The Pentati Village Project
The Pentati Village Project was started in January 2015 with the aim being to improve the tourism interest and the standard of living in the village. Primarily this project is focused on boosting the tourism and revenue in the village but also covers repairs and maintenance through to improving the Carbon Footprint. Boosting the tourism for the village will focus mainly around Cultural Tourism making it uniquely different to neighbouring Agios Gordios and other local villages.
Cultural Tourism is where specific experiences are offered to attract a niche audience of tourists looking for a unique experience in the country of their choice. These events cater for specialist needs or interests – such as art, music, drama, archeology, natural history etc. These ‘courses’ or holiday experiences thereby combine specialist instruction or tuition with many of the normal tourist attractions offered by an island such as Corfu. Pentati cannot compete on equal terms with its close neighbour, Agios Gordios. If it is to be more than just a ‘dormitory’ village for Agios Gordios, then it needs to re-invent itself or at least offer something unique that its bigger and more conventionally successful neighbor cannot or does not provide. This is where cultural tourism can help provide part of the solution to the re-development of this village.
We are working on many different projects to bring tourism to the village.

Geocaching
Placing geocaches in and around the village will put Pentati on the worldwide treasure hunt map and encourage people to visit. Our geocaches will be listed at the bottom of this page as & when they are launched.
What is Geocaching?
This is probably best explained on www.geocaching.com but in short it is a global treasure hunt with 2,640,401 active Geocaches and over 6 million Geocache hunters (members) worldwide. Geocaching is a real-world, outdoor treasure hunting game using GPS-enabled devices. Participants navigate to a specific set of GPS coordinates and then attempt to find the Geocache (container) hidden at that location. The container can be of any size and would normally contain a guestbook for people to sign, some also contain an item for exchange. Once found the Geocache hunter logs this on the Geocaching website.
There are several different types of Geocache which can be seen here: https://www.geocaching.com/about/cache_types.aspx.
Check out GPS and Geocaching 101; link kindly sent to us by Blake who has just started working towards earning his Geocaching merit badge. Blake found our web page on his Geocache quest and in true Boy Scout fashion thought it was a useful resource to share.

Village Website
Create and launch the official Pentati website www.pentati.com.
This website is to provide the official platform for the village. It will include the official village details, history and information. The website will continue to grow as each one of our village projects develops.
Eventually the website will become a virtual hub both for the tourists and for the locals.

Road Repairs
Road Repairs are paramount! Once the activity projects are in place we will progress to options for funding applications for the desperately needed repairs throughout the village.
The village of Pentati is in desperate need of road repairs and we are trying to raise the funds for this locally.
We plan to repair the stretch of road running from Paramonas through (and around) Pentati to the edge of Agios Gordios.
We are also organising fund raising activities such as the Pirate Treasure Trail and events for the holiday makers and the online souvenir shop for after sales.
We will keep you up to date with developments on this page.
